Gumaan

Gumaan — "illusion" — was published in 2004, two years after Jaun Elia's death, compiled by his companion Khalid Ansari.

It follows Shayad, the collection that placed him permanently in the Urdu canon at the age of sixty. Jaun Elia is arguably the finest Urdu poet of the second half of the twentieth century, and this is the second of the four books that carry his verse.
